Voices of the Game Series

The National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum’s 2007 Voices of the Game Member Series featured seven Hall of Famers and three Frick Award winners in addition to other baseball figures.

The 2007 Voices of the Game series featured Hall of Famers Earl Weaver (May 20), Mike Schmidt (Sept. 2) and Fergie Jenkins, Phil Niekro, Robin Roberts, and Ozzie Smith (Oct. 6); three baseball broadcasters, who have earned the Ford C. Frick Award from the Hall of Fame for broadcasting excellence: Harry Kalas (June 30), Milo Hamilton (Aug. 4) and Jaime Jarrin (Nov. 3); as well as former Major League stars Jim Lonborg and Rico Petrocelli in a salute to the 1967 Boston Red Sox (April 14).

Voices of the Game programs are open exclusively to Hall of Fame Members and must be purchased in advance by calling 607-547-0397. Tickets for future events will be made available through the Hall of Fame's Membership department in advance of each event, with on-sale dates to be announced.

Aug. 4: 1992 Ford C. Frick Award winner Milo Hamilton, voice of the Houston Astros
Sept. 2: Hall of Fame third baseman Mike Schmidt
Oct. 6: Hall of Famers Ferguson Jenkins, Phil Niekro, Robin Roberts, and Ozzie Smirh. Also former Major Leaguers Bill Atkinson, Dave Bergman, Enos Cabell, Vince Coleman, Lance Niekro and Jon Warden.
Nov. 3: 1998 Ford C. Frick Award winner Jaime Jarrin, legendary Spanish radio voice of the L.A. Dodgers

All Voices of the Game programs are also presented in conjunction with XM Satellite Radio as part of XM’s Baseball Confidential series on the Home Plate Channel, XM 175. Voices of the Game launched in 2006 as a six-installment series featuring baseball broadcasting legends. The programs are part of the more than 1,000 events held throughout the year at the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum in Cooperstown.
